Musiquelaine SA, a Non-profit Organisation with Public Benefit Organisation and Community Service Organisation registrations which is situated within Steenberg High School, with the primary objective of building a long term sustainable music development programme from primary to tertiary level, is urgently seeking a Project Manager. Closing date for applications : 2nd February 2021 Minimum qualifications Matric with Diploma in administration, finance/commerce, business advantages Minimum experience A minimum of five years work experience in grant and project management in the Creative Arts Industries Skills Meticulous attention to detail Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience working with Pastel accounting system, loading payments and able to pull reports for monthly reporting and audit purposes Experience in monitoring and evaluation, reporting. Good written and verbal communication skills Good interpersonal skills Other requirements Knowledge of South African Creative Arts Industries would be advantageous Ability to maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders Ability to work independently Demonstrable experience in writing reports (both financial and narrative) and drafting budgets for projects Competencies : Analytical thinking/problem-solving Results focussed Building partnership People Management Communication Resource Management SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILTY 1. Manage and administer the Musiquelaine SA NGO for the success of the Project. 2. Act as liaison for the organisation between the Board, school, outside entities, Parents, Tutors and Band Members. . Pro-actively, advise Chairperson of the Board of anything which could affect or impact on the organisation negatively. 4. Ensures that the organisations relationship between the school and the organistion is maintained and managed in terms of the MOU between the School and MSA 5. Ensures that the finances of the organisation are always in good standing. 6. Ensures that the Banking systems of the organisation is in good order at all times. 7. Ensures that the organisation is at all times in good standing with the Department of Social Development. 8. Ensures the completion and submission of the relevant fundraising documents annually when required. 9. Ensures that the Donor conditions are met timeously in terms of progress reports. 10. Ensure that the quarterly reports on the activities of the overall Project is submitted to the Board members, the school Principal and the School Governing Body (SGB). 11. Monthly Mamp;E reporting with stakeholders as well maintaining Mamp;E reporting to donors as required. 12. Represent the MSA organisation at the SGB monthly meetings to provide a brief on the activities of the band. 1 . Arrange quarterly Parent Committee meetings with the assistance of the admin assistant and Parent Committee Chairperson. 14. Oversight of Stocktake and that instruments are maintained. 15. Ensures that Board and staff meetings are arranged timeously and that protocols are adhered to. 16. Ensures that Board meeting minutes are completed and maintained in terms of good business practice. 17. Using the Standard Operating Procedure Document, to formulate Policy and Procedures, to assist staff, to improve the systems of seamless flow of work for the organistion, especially with reference to the Monitoring and Evaluation of the project goals i.e. London Trinity Exam. 18. Ensures the co ordination of the Music programme and the Project Office work to harness the best results for the overall Programme with special reference to the Band Camp and the Music Clinic and external travelling performances of the Band. 19. Ensures the successful planned coordination of the annual CFLAT YOUTH JAZZ FESTIVAL with the various interested stakeholders and sponsors. Email CV to : XXXX@gmail.com
