Work with U.S. Startups and C-Suite Execs as an Oceans Business Development Representative About Oceans Oceans is an outsourcing firm pairing the best talent in South Africa with CEOs, Founders, and Executives in the U.S. The Role: Business Development Representative Oceans is seeking talented candidates in South Africa to become BDRs. Responsibilities Generate leads through cold calling, email, and other targeted outreach methods Engage with prospects to understand business needs and pain points Conduct qualification calls to assess the fit between the lead's requirements and client's solutions. Collaborate with sales team members to gather additional information and insights on which leads worked and which did not Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads and interactions in the CRM system Manage and prioritize a high volume of leads to ensure a steady flow through the sales funnel Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and influencers Collaborate with marketing to align messaging and ensure consistency in outreach efforts Optimize strategies and tactics to improve the efficiency of the lead generation process Requirements Language : Professional fluency in English, with superb communication skills (reading, writing, speaking) Experience : 2-3 years of hands-on experience as an SDR or BDR Prior experience is a startup environment is a strong plus Essential Skills : Must have experience with HubSpot or Saleforce Experience with other platforms is a strong plus Ability to write email copy Education : Undergraduate degree preferred; relevant experience accepted; other certifications a bonus Who Should Apply This role is ideal for candidates with experience in Business Development or Sales Development who are excited to work for, and learn from, U.S.-based Executives.
