About Us: Fairmont High School (based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town) is a traditional English co-ed school with approximately 1500 learners and a staff complement of over 80 educators. The candidate: We are looking for an experienced CAT (Grade 10 only) / EMS (up to Grade 12) / educator with Accounting (Grade 10 only) for the period 1 August 2024 to 31 December 2024. There is a possibility that this contract post may be converted to permanent in 2025. Recently retired educators are welcome to apply. Qualifications and Experience: A BComm or related relevant University degree and a Graduate teaching qualification is a requirement (Post graduate studies in a related field is an advantage) Qualified to teach Grades 8 – 12 At least I year of recent and relevant experience of teaching up to Matric level is preferred Active involvement in the school extra-mural programme Applications must include: A covering letter A relevant, up-to-date, comprehensive CV The contact details of at least 2 recent references Certified copies of Educational qualifications and transcripts Certified copy of SACE Registration (or proof of application) Closing date for applications:4 July 2024.
