Location Nedgroup Investments is looking for an Investment and Quantitative Analyst to join our Core Investment team based at the Nedbank Clocktower, V & A Waterfront, Cape Town. As the asset management division within Nedbank they manage over R400 billion of investors assets and are the leaders in low cost balanced solutions (the Core range) in South Africa. The Core investment team overseas the range of funds which include South African and Global mandates with more than R70 billion in assets under management. The Core range is used by institutional pension funds, independent financial advisors and is available to the public. As part of the Core Investment team an investment analyst will be exposed to leading thinking in combining technology with traditional investment management tools to assist investors in achieving their financial goals. Our website is : www.nedgroupinvestments.co.za Career Stream Investments FAIS Affected FAIS Affected - Yes Job Purpose The purpose of the role is to assist with the implementation of this business' investment philosophy through data analysis, quantitative and qualitative modeling, research and support functions, in line with Nedbank Group strategy. There will also be a strong emphasis in incorporating environmental, social and governance factors into our investment considerations. Job Responsibilities Compile, maintain and monitor economic, industry and other data series through research. Make investment recommendations by using quantitative and qualitative analysis. Identify and interpret relevant information using logic to seek cause and effect relationships. Assess needs and provide solutions interacting with internal and external clients. Provide feedback and make business presentations to stakeholders. Develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals. Evaluate performance of fund/investment through regular financial performance reviews Develop software proficiency to deliver required outputs. Express ideas or facts clearly in written documentation so that the content is understood by the recipient. Develop sound product and industry knowledge and understanding the regulatory framework. Identify training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from management. Ensure all personal development plan activities are completed within specified timeframe. Share knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders during formal and informal interaction.
